MRTA is nonpartisan and does not endorse candidates. MRTA encourages all of our members to study the issues and vote for the candidate who will support public education and our pension system! It really does matter who your elected officials are! Below is information on the candidates and Amendment 3.
MRTA has asked all candidates to fill out questionnaires to let us know where they stand on education and retiree issues, the following is what we received. If your candidates did not fill out the questionnaire ask them to do so today!

Amendment 3 – Vote NO!
The MRTA voted to oppose Amendment 3 at the September 13, 2016 meeting. Amendment 3 diverts millions of dollars away from public schools and gives them to parochial schools.
